Try comparing the fonts with behdad's fonttools' ttx and meld. On Unix this would be mkdir a; cp yourfont.ttf a/a.ttf; mkdir b; cp msfont.ttf b/a.ttf; ttx -s */a.ttf; meld a b;1 -

I recommend using trufont.github.io which is essentially FontForge's replacement, many of the key FF development community have moved their focus to it :)1 -
